IGN IPL and The Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences (AIAS) will not sell or otherwise give out contestant’s information to any third party. The information that contestants provide will only be used for (1) the AIAS/IGN IPL Digital Swag Bag Giveaway.
Official Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.
1. CONTEST PERIOD. The AIAS/IGN IPL Digital Swag Bag Giveaway begins on February 2nd and will run until February 7th.
2. ELIGIBILITY. Open to legal residents of the United States, its territories and possessions, 18 years of age and older as of February 1st 2013. Employees of the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS)/IGN IPL, their parents, subsidiaries, divisions, affiliates, agencies and the immediate family members of each and those residing in the same household are not eligible. Void where prohibited by law and subject to all applicable laws.
3. HOW TO ENTER. To enter: During the Contest Period, visit IGN IPL’s Twitter @IGNProLeague. When a tweet instructs users to ‘retweet’ to win a prize, retweet the tweet to enter the specific giveaway. Limit of one entry per person. Use of computer programs and other automatic means to enter the Contest is prohibited. Any attempt by any entrant to obtain more than the stated number of entries by using multiple/different email addresses, identities, registrations and logins, or any other methods will void such entries and that entrant may be disqualified. Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification. Normal Internet access and usage charges imposed by your online service may apply.
Those that also wish to enter without using Twitter may do so by emailing with their name, age, and e-mail before that giveaway ends as specified on Twitter.
4. WINNER: A specified number of winners on each giveaway tweet will win the stated prize. Winners will be contacted via a DM and may come with specific instructions on how to access the prize.
5. PRIZE DESCRIPTION. Winners are solely responsible for all applicable taxes in connection with prizes. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of comparable value for the original prize in the event of prize unavailability. Prizes are not redeemable for cash.
6. GENERAL RULES. Prize winners (or parent/legal guardian if Grand Prize winner is a minor) may be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, liability/publicity release (where legal) within ten (10) days of notification attempt or the prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected. Return of prizes or prize notifications may result in disqualification and alternate(s) may be selected. All material submitted becomes the sole property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Acceptance of prizes constitutes permission to the Sponsor and its agencies to use winners’ names, biographical information, pictures/portraits, likeness and/or voices, for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation, unless prohibited by law. Winners assume all liability for any injury or damage caused, or claimed to be caused, by participation in this Contest or use or redemption of prizes. By participating in this Contest, entrants agree to be bound by the Official Rules and the decisions of the judges. Winner releases Sponsor, AIAS, IGN IPL and any other party associated with the development or administration of this Promotion, their parent, subsidiary, and affiliated entities, and each of their respective officers, directors, members, shareholders, employees, independent contractors, agents, representatives, successors and assigns (collectively with “Sponsor Entities”) from any and all liability for damages, losses or injury resulting from participation in the Promotion or acceptance or use of prizes. Sponsor Entities are not responsible for any typographical/other error in printing of Contest administration/prize announcement materials in connection with this Contest.
7. DISCLAIMERS. The Sponsor Entities are not responsible for technical, hardware, software or telephone malfunctions of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incorrect, incomplete, inaccurate, garbled or delayed electronic communications caused by the user or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the application/website(s) or the Contest or by any human error which may occur in the processing of the entries in the Contest or for any liability for damage to any computer system resulting from participation in, accessing or downloading information in connection with the application/website(s) or Contest. In the event of a dispute as to any entry, the authorized account holder of the account used to register will be deemed to be the entrant. Winners may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder of the account associated with the entry. Proof of entering information via the application/websites does not constitute proof of delivery or receipt of such information. Sponsor is not responsible for the failure of any email or entry to be received by Sponsor on account of technical problems or congestion on the internet or at any website. The Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual that tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or application/website(s); violates the Official Rules; or acts in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. Any attempt by any person to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest or application/website(s) may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. If, for any reason, the Contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Promotion or application/website(s), then the Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel the Promotion and determine the applicable winner in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received prior to cancellation. SPONSOR ENTITIES MAKE NO WARRANTIES, REPRESENTATIONS OR GUARANTEES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, IN FACT OR IN LAW, AS REGARDS THIS PROMOTION OR THE MERCHANTABILITY, QUALITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE REGARDING PRIZES. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THEWEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS PROMOTION MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND/OR CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES (INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ATTORNEYS’ FEES) FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW, INCLUDING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.
8. APPLICABLE LAWS AND JURISDICTION. This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, provincial, territorial, municipal and local laws and regulations. Issues concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforce-ability of these Official Rules shall be governed by the laws in the U.S. All disputes arising out of or connected with this Contest will be resolved individually, and without resort to class action. All judgments or awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket damages (excluding attorneys’ fees) associated with participation in this Contest and shall not include any indirect, punitive, incidental and/or consequential damages.

The Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Twitter. You understand that you are providing your information to AIAS and IGN IPL and not to Twitter. The information you provide will be used to contact you with future Sponsor selected communications and in the event you are selected as a Contest winner.
