18th D.I.C.E. AWARDS PRESENTERS ANNOUNCED 

The Academy today released the official 18th D.I.C.E. Awards ticket, which gives a sneak peek to the Awards intro that kicks off the show. This is a multi-studio collaboration featuring art from many of our talented members. Inspired by the boundless creativity in artists’ notebooks, the show opener produced in conjunction with NoodleHaus will be revealed at the 18th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards on Thursday Feb 5, 2015. 

Also announced today were the presenters for the 18th D.I.C.E. Awards (#DICEAwards), hosted by comedian Pete Holmes, which will be live streamed in one week on Thursday, Feb. 5th beginning at 7:30 PM PT at Twitch.   

Honored this year as the Pioneer Award recipients are the late Ralph H. Baer, the inventor of the Magnavox Odyssey, and Al Alcorn, the creator of PONG. Accepting the honor on behalf of Baer is his son Mark Baer and grandson Alex Baer; Alcorn will be present to receive his Award on stage. Also being recognized is the Apple App Store as the first recipient of the Academy’s Technical Impact Award. Greg Joswiak, Apple's vice president of iPhone and iOS Product Marketing, will be in attendance to accept.
