The Academy's 7th Annual Interactive Achievement Awards were presented at a ceremony held in Las Vegas at the Palms Casino Resort on March 4, 2004, the first evening of the D.I.C.E. Summit.
Diane Mizota (CSI: Miami) hosted the awards, with a musical performance by The Fat Man. Call of Duty, developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision, won three awards, including overall Game of the Year and PC Game of the Year. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft, won eight awards, including Console Game of the Year.
The Academy presented Interactive Achievement Awards in 36 craft, console, computer, and online categories. The Academy also inducted Peter Molyneux, managing director of Lionhead Studios, into the Academy’s Hall of Fame. The 7th Annual Awards were held at the spectacular RAIN in the Desert, concert venue located at the Palms Casino Resort, in Las Vegas, Nevada on March 4th, 2004.
